Crime Spikes When the Weather is Nice
As March ends (3/25-27) we have had three car break-ins in R-town & C-town.
APD reminds us to keep our cars clean, not a dumping ground for backpacks, battery chargers, laptops.
If you should be a victim, you must contact APD / call 911,
Get the report # from the responding officer, confirm the location where your copy will be, when it will be available.. and go there. You will need that report in the future. Keep it in a safe place where you can easily find it.
It takes a village to fight crime:
Please do your part and follow through.
Too often we hear "nothing of importance was stolen" or "my car was just rifled through." Reporting crime helps our community. How? Using the premise: "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" = we need to communicate the actual crime to the Atlanta Police Dept so that Zone 6 APD can can get the appropriate resources. Just because we choose to live in-town does not mean we have to compromise our quality of life.
Remember: to contact the CRSP patrol is via 911.
These are off-duty APD officers, the patrol is connected to the Atlanta City Wide Dispatch:
See something, say something and call 911."
Remember to call 911 first!
Cabbagetown/Reynoldstown Security Patrol
CRSP: March Madness
By Christopher E. Adams
Over the past five years Cabbagetown-Reynoldstown Security
Patrol (CRSP) has gained the support of over 250 households, and
businesses. As a result, CRSP’s off-duty APD officers
100 hours of patrol per month, establishing important
with the community, and we have prevented crimes. When on duty,
CRSP officers are usually the first to respond to a 911
call in our neighborhoods.
In years past, we have added new members as part of our annual
March Madness fundraising drive. CRSP is asking for your help to make this initiative
more successful this year.
Thanks as always to Milltown Arms Tavern on Carroll St. for their support over the years. Barb and her crew are top notch.
